Updates for the day:

  • 09:56 Woke up to a sore neck and back. My body is telling me I really need that vacation. #
  • 10:15 Oh, Japan and you're inappropriately named fashion brands - bit.ly/2nIo1q #
  • 13:17 Bought tickets to Utada Hikaru's concert in SF in January. Completely forgot about it yesterday, good thing they weren't sold out yet. #
  • 14:29 @illastrate I think the fact that the LA folks got their own show helped in the non-sold out-ness #
  • 15:09 WTH - my neck STILL hurts so much. Was I sleep-headbanging or something? #
  • 17:14 So quiet! I need some tunes up in here! #
  • 17:19 @MsMatcha OMG I've ditched mine too - haven't written in over a week =( Feel kinda bad about it. #
  • 17:19 RT @teapotgirl: Exhibit A: Robert Pattinson fan hospitalised after poster fight, www.heatworld.com/Article/12956 #
  • 18:09 LOL - Heard a catchy song which I enjoyed despite abuse of auto-tune. Turned out it was Tokio Hotel's "Automatic" #
  • 18:16 Now listening to Tokio Hotel "Noise" - why does this remind me of a song in one of the old puppet-era Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle movies? #
  • 19:00 @CainVoorhees Oh, man... sorry for late response. Are you still interested in this? If so, I'll check with my bandmates #

In this personal photo combo released by Phil Boerner is shown Boerner, right, and his college roommate, Barack Obama, in their New York City apartment in the early 1980s. Boerner made the photo of Obama and Obama made Boerner's photo. When Obama takes the oath of office on Tuesday, Jan. 20, 2009, the university that helped shape his ideas will celebrate him at an outdoors rally marking the inauguration of Columbia University's first graduate to become president.

Sorry to keep bothering with simple questions ^^;;;

Is like..."stamping" your photos illegal? I've read so many stories within this community about how people steal other peoples closet photos and yeaaah haha. Would this be illegal? Example )Because if not I am sooo stamping everything in my closet...

The models with 11.6" screens have keyboards and screens big enough to work on, don't weigh more than the smaller ones, and are less than an inch wider.

That's the sweet spot.  Start looking there!

(And maybe you'll find a different size that suits you better, of course!  Lots of people love their 9-10" netbooks!  But I don't think you can go wrong with a 11.6" model -- never heard anybody complaining about a 11.6" netbook being too big, but a lot of people have found 9-10" models far too cramped)

I got small shock/surprise when I was looking at abingdon boys school's myspace top friends and saw this:

http://www.myspace.com/karasuofficial

This is what happened:
1. I was thinking; "Hmm what band is this?" *clicks*
2. "Oh... this dude looks like Tatsuro... really, a lot... what a wannabe! Cool makeup though."
3. *Scrolls down, reads...*
4. Vocal:逹瑯(ムック) ...Wtf it IS Tatsuro!!!?

I just have to ask if I'm the last one finding out about this xD Sorry if it's really been posted about...
Other then that... I think it's a really interesting combo ^^'

the wandering marionettes at BATS N CATS

So I attended the BATS N CATS Hello Kitty 35th Anniversary party at Royal/T organized by BubblePunch this past week! I was happy to attend since I've been so busy moving. The line was insane, it was all the way around the block... and everyone in line was dressed so cute! The photobooth, cakes, decor and everything was totally fabulous. I wish I could have gone to the Fashion Show the next day, but I just wasn't able to. On to some more pics and info!

Truemee and Michelle (Bubblepunch) in their awesome MAC/HK dresses!

Lots of people had amazing outfits, if you want to check it out,...

Just post an item from your closet (an alternative too, if you want) for people to suteki. Suteki their item then go to their poupee home and hopefully you'll get a shell!

Good luck and happy hunting, everyone! ♥

I'm getting really bad at doing these prompts. ^^ )

But let's get to what's really important:

Happy Birthday to [info]mognetcentral and [info]antieden! According to Wikipedia, your birthdays falls on the day in 1938 that many a druggie (and perhaps a few Beatles fans) probably happily celebrate. For that was the day that a certain Swiss chemist synthesized a chemical he meant as a respiratory/circulatory stimulant. Little did he know that less than five years later, he would discover the real power of his synthesized chemical, LSD. It's also the day in 1959 that the hills came alive with The Sound of Music, as it opened on Broadway. Hope you two have a wonderful day today!

EDIT: Drat! Happy Belated Birthday to [info]reyrey as well! Your birthday fell on the day in 1971 that Intel released their first commercial single-chip microprocessor, the 4004. With 2300 transistors and a clock speed of 740 kHz, it's several orders of magnitude less complex (around 5 orders, give or take) than the modern microprocessors that Intel puts out. However, everything must have a beginning. And since you're a sports guy, it was also the day in 1963 that Elgin Baylor of the LA Lakers scored 71 points in a 123-108 victory over the Knicks, at the time a record, until Wilt Chamberlain beat it over a year later scoring 78 points for Philadelphia in a triple overtime loss against the Lakers. Hope you had a great day!

Over at Beep City, I just released the debut Moldilox chiptune album: The Drifting Classroom. Based on Kazuo Umezu's amazing 70s horror manga of the same name—available in its entirety from the fine folks at Viz Media—this would-be Famicom adaptation takes us from the opening cutscene ("Strange Future") to the very end of Umezu's sizzling tale.

Check it out! Download the full album and listen to all fourteen individual tracks here.

Tell ya mama! Tell everyone!

I'm not sure if this would work better with a hat, and even then: which hat?, but I like it just the same.

Show me what you got, poupees!

"God Bless America"should be our national anthem.  So much better than "The Star-Spangled Banner," which is an awkward tune at best.

It seems like "God Bless America" is sung reverently, almost solemnly these days, ever since 9/11.  Contrast that with the original arrangement by Irving Berlin, sung by Kate Smith -- it's really a joyous (cheesy, even) song.

Of course, I'm biased.

I love posting my old artwork.
